For the creation of 4 new dance pieces choreographed by Graham McKelvie, Cinzia Eremita, Jared Herring and Serenella Sol.

Ballet Bodies YYC is looking for ballet and contemporary adult dancers for its upcoming performance Ballet Bodies in Motion II, on Nov 4th, 2023, at the DJD Dance Theatre. 

Details:

  • In-Person and Video Auditions  

  • In-person auditions limited to 20 dancers

  • Deadline to sign up for in-person and video auditions -> September 6th- 5 pm

  • Dancers will have to sign up for their preferred choreographer separately.

  • Dancers can audition for multiple choreographers but can only be cast for one piece.

  • Please read below for more information and to sign up for the audition.

Audition results: all dancers will be notified by Tuesday, September 12th, 2023.

    We are looking for 10 Intermediate Ballet Dancers (18+)

    Piece length: 5-6 min

    Style: Classical Ballet

    Rehearsal hours: 15 hours + Tech and Show Dates

    Dancer’s Honorarium: $150

    Dancers MUST be available for the following dates:

    • Tech rehearsal: Approximately 5 hours on November 3rd between 9 am and 5 pm (hours to be confirmed in September)

    • Show Date: November 4th between 11 and 8 pm (we will have 2-3 show times)
