Support & Dance Organizations 

  • CADA/West offers dance artists financial and professional support through: training and childcare subsidy, free workshops on grants, taxes, and contract negotiations, a reduced subscription rate for The Dance Current magazine, and includes a joint membership with the Canadian Dance Assembly.

  • Dancer's Studio West (DSW) cultivates independent artists' work from ideation to production through: Creative Residencies (free studio space and mentorship), Quick + Dirty (paid residency and presentation opportunity), and Mini Research Lab (supporting artists in the early stages of a dance project or to develop their creative practice).

  • PIVOT. is an arts management and venue consulting group offering support in Grant management, Arts management, Coaching, Web development and more.

  • Healthy Dancer Canada supports the dance community through Research Awards, Dancer Grants, a BIPOC Emerging Dance Artist Scholarship, Financial Assistance Programs, an Annual Conference, a regular Newsletter, and Membership opportunities.

  • Rozsa Foundation supports arts organizations in the Calgary area through Training, Funding, and Storytelling.

  • Springboard Performance presents various performances from a variety of national dance artists throughout the year and provides performance opportunities for local dancers through programs like Fluid Festival

  • Calgary Arts Development  is the city’s designated arts development authority, and provides several funding opportunities through various Grants and access to the Job Board for employment opportunities in the arts and culture sector.
