Ballet Bodies YYC Membership

Applications for the 2024/2025 Season are now open!

We are looking for Adv-Inter adult ballet dancers to join our 2024/2025 season membership program.

Ballet Bodies YYC runs a tuition-based yearly program for intermediate and advanced adult (18+) ballet dancers who are interested in consistent ballet training.

As a non-profit, we focus on providing affordable classes. We do this by assembling a group of committed dancers who can pay a monthly membership from September to June. Dancers are accepted through an application process. By having a consistent and predictable income, we are able to offer classes at a very low cost. The tuition covers the class costs, including guest teachers, studio rental, and admin/marketing fees.

Our program runs from September to June, and during this timeframe, dancers take three (3) OR two (2) ballet classes a week, taught by incredible guest teachers. Additionally, Ballet Bodies YYC is constantly seeking funding for performance opportunities.

Class times: (September 6th 2023 to June 29th 2024)

  • Tuesday 6:30 to 8:00 pm

  • Fridays 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm

  • Saturdays 12:15 pm to 1:45 pm

Application Process

  • Fill out this form by August 15th, 2024

  • We can only accept 15 dancers attending 3 classes a week and 5 dancers attending 2 classes a week. If there is enough space, exceptions could be made for 1 class a week.

  • Priority will be given to previous dance members and dancers who can attend three classes a week.

    • 3 classes a week (around 112 classes a year) from Sept 2023 to June 2024: $125 a month + GST ($1250)

    • 2 classes a week (around 80 classes a year) from Sept 2023 to June 2024: $105 + GST a month ($1050)

    • 1 class a week (around 40 classes a year) from Sept 2023 to June 2024: $55 +GST a month ($550)

    • Train consistently

    • Take ballet classes at the beautiful DJD Dance Centre

    • A variety of amazing and highly experienced Guest Teachers

    • And you get to be part of a community of dancers that support and encourage each other!
